|I decided that I wanted to brave the crowds of black Friday. I had no real plan, no mission. Aside from seeing what the Apple store had on sale. Nothing much, just so you know. After that my wife and I walked around some watching the insanity. We had to park real far away from the mall at the Toys R Us. When we went back to the car Amy wanted to go in Toys R Us. I did not, and was peeved, but followed reluctantly. We wandered around the busy store, coming at last to the video game area. There was a Nintedo Wii display with a bunch of emtpy boxes. “What a tease” I said. We looked around and we spotted what looked like a tall stack of Wii boxes behind the counter. I asked if those were for sale, and YES was the answer. Within minutes, we were leaving the store (with a Wii and Zelda) feeling like we just got away with murder.
My review so far is a huge thumbs up. I can’t even explain how fun it is to swing away, bowl, bat, box, and more with this little wireless wi-mote thing. The dogs are so confused. They think we are throwing stuff and hear the noise from the wi-mote to the tv. I played about two hours of Zelda and it’s really damn sweet. I’ve already been fishing. It does start slow, but it’s a good exploratory, learning the controls kind of thing. Too much good stuff. My wife keeps making fun of my big smile. Wii Sports is awesome, the bowling is by far my favorite so far. Very true to life feeling. I’ll post more, when I’m deeper in these games.
