Video Game Honor badges
| There are only a few things I will openly reminisce about. Video games is one of those things. Alex just IMd over this photo of the Activision honor badges. I remember this so well it hurts. You had to take a photo of tv while playing the game when you reached a set high score. Then you’d send that photo in and you’d get the patch for your geek jacket. It was such a major deal for my young nerd self. I wasn’t in boy scouts, so this is all I had. |
Amy S Kauffman documentary + activision font
| Time flies when you are working too much and not having enough fun. The spring weather has arrived on the east cost and I couldn’t be happier about it. So, to celebrate, I’ve migrated my email from Entourage to Apple Mail. So much fun – I can’t even explain. The transition has been pretty smooth so far. Some minor glitches slowed me down, but the apple discussion groups moved me ahead. Now all I need to do is sort throught the 20,000 emails! There are some creative things happening. The video above links to a documentary about my wife – Amy S. Kauffman. AND – in the fall of last year I did a little collaboration with typeology.com – Activision came from the partnership – and now you can download and type away in 8-bit glory. |

Posted by jfx in art, basketball, opening, show on April 10th, 2007
| This weekend was Jim Houser’s opening of “THIS BEATING HEART ACTS AS A TIMER” at the Painted Bride. You can see a few photos above. The show is really good and is up for two months so go see it. Jim’s band, American Sneakers, played and Sweatheart performed as well. In really big news, the AFBL played our final game of Season 6, you can view the madness here. We got locked out of our gym, but being hardcore, we played outside in the cold. |
Philly Art Map
| Google released a new tool that enables everyone to create custom maps (myMaps). I created this one, that ties in with Big Kids/Little Kids that shows galleries and museums around Philadelphia. If I don’t have something on here, let me know and I’ll add it.
Also, tomorrow night at the Painted Bride is the opening of Jim Houser’s new show: “THIS BEATING HEART ACTS AS A TIMER” |
