My first eBook is now available on the Apple bookstore. This digital zine is 100 pages long with work from 20 artists and is my first forray into this new form of publishing. Check out some samples below. Huge thanks to everyone who participated and if the world buys a few copies, then I’ll do more. It’s just a buck, spread the word.

Ok, so some of the stuff that I have is silly and I don’t mind just giving it away. There is more of that coming soon. But other things are worth a few bucks and eBay is a great place to “give away” some junk also. The Apple coasters are sold already (sorry), my old GameBoy pocket (also sold), a nice Beastie Boys poster, my old Tivo and lastly a Skype phone that never really got used too much. Some of this is still up, but it’s really still about getting rid of the random stuff that I’ve held onto for way too long. –>my eBay

Damaged Pixels Zine

Some time ago I had a series of hard drive failures that forced me to do a lengthy overhaul of my digital archives. In the process many of my ‘recovered’ files showed up as strange versions of their previous selves. This zine is an attempt to make good from bad and move forward from the wreckage. New Pixel Drawings

A short while ago I started doing these new drawings. They use a series of custom printed patterns that I created, and then I draw in the dots by hand. It’s labor intensive and can kind of tweak your vision, but I’m really liking how they are turing out. Below are some pics of the first three, there are more in the works already, but you can get these on my etsy store right now.

I do not know how this happened. Worse than that, it took me almost a week to get this post up. Way back in September of 2008 Big Kids/Little Kids opened in Houston, Texas at Domy Books. That opening was the kick off for the above limited edition version of my book, with my own artwork adorning the hand screen printed dust jacket. Of course I never posted about it, or even put it on my online store for sale. My bad. These things are all now corrected. Let’s move forward. Jim Houser is doing a solo show in LA that opens tomorrow night at Merry Karnowski Gallery. Go see “Mere Inches” if you are in the area.

I’m finally getting back on the product track. My online store is lagging… I know, but to hold everyone over I’ve posted my first zazzle shirt, the Secret Geometry of Pringles. This is an old design, but one that never really came into existence, so I’m glad to bring it to life. Keep tabs on the new stuff at my zazzle page.

My book, Big Kids/Little Kids, is a traveling art show. The second stop on the tour is Cinders gallery in Brooklyn, NY, opened on Saturday March, 29th and comes down on Sunday May, 4th. Come by for one last NE look. If you miss the show in New York, it will be in LA in July at Subliminal Projects Gallery The show is made possible by Urban Outfitters and uwishunu.com.

This Saturday at Mew Gallery (mewgallery.org) I’ll be realeasing the first of several limited edition, hand screen printed, dust jackets for Big Kids/Little Kids. The first one is by Todd St. John. (of Hunter Gatherer/Green Lady) So come by from 7-10 PM on Saturday for your chance to get a copy with this limited edition jacket. They will be $30 at this event.
