GoodandEviL promotional video
The finale of the video, after 10 minutes or so of blackness, is the pogoball section. Don’t know what a pogoball is? Well let’s just say it was the 80s and they never really stuck around. Unless you know Denny Heinz… But, that didn’t stop us. Staring John Freeborn, Jason Vivona, and Jim Houser. Music: Stevie Wonder, Songs in the Key of Life, Saturn (of course)

GoodandEviL “Promotional Video” – part 8: John Freeborn’s staple gun part

GoodandEviL promotional video
What is a skate video without bonus parts? The GoodandEviL video has that in spades. The first bonus after the credits are done is my magnum opus, my piece de resistance – the legendary “Staple Gun part”. If you don’t know what a staple gun is, go back to Powell Peralta Video 4, Public Domain and watch Steve Saiz on the mini ramp. My brother often said that it wasn’t a real trick. 21 variations tells a different story. Music from the Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory soundtrack, Wonkavision Oompa Loompa

The credits? Yeah, not the most exciting at first glance. But, these credits are very janky and have cameo performances by Hisham Bharoocha, John Zimmerman, Gerry Rowe (greatest skate video monolouge ever), and much more. Music by Native Nod

GoodandEviL “Promotional Video” – part 6: Don Kahler, aka “Crazy Don”

GoodandEviL promotional video
The clear highlight of the GoodandEviL skateboards video “Promotional Video” circa 1995 or so, is the Don Kahler part. “Crazy Don”, as he is known in the Philadelphia regiion, does his skateboard trickery with the aid of a bicycle innertube screwed into his deck. Some people might call this cheating, we came to learn that this was just Don’s way. Spots include: Reading skatepark (Magic), Providence, and more. Music: Best of Saturday Night Live: Eddie Murphy, the 5th Beatle

GoodandEviL “Promotional Video” – part 4: Hole Proof Ad

GoodandEviL promotional video
There was also a sister clothing company that Andrew Jeffrey Wright and Ben Woodward (who with me also co-founded SPACE1026 in Philadelphia) created called Hole Proof. Part 4 is a Hole Proof ad, created by those two manical geniuses. GoodandEviL skateboards and Hole Proof should have ruled the earth. We made a video, titled “Promotional Video” in 1995 or so. This was filmed in my bathroom, in downtown Providence, Rhode Island.

GoodandEviL “Promotional Video” – part 3: Terry Synnott

GoodandEviL promotional video
GoodandEviL skateboards was a little off at all times. I really wanted to make a freestyle board. At this time freestyle was taboo. Mullen had taken up street and no one mentioned the word freestyle. I was lucky enough to find Terry Synnott, he filmed his entire part for “Promotional Video” in one day. Music: Cannonball Adderly
