We survived 2024, and then 2025 happened. It’s been a royal shit show since that digit flipped from four to five. Still, we soldier on. I’ve got my usual slew of projects in motion (links below), and work keeps me busy. I can’t complain, but I do complain.

Books that I’m currently reading…
It takes me a long time to read books because I read many at the same time
- Surrounded by Liars by Thomas Erikson
- Inspired: How to Create Tech Products Customers Love by Marty Cagan
- NPR’s Podcast Start Up Guide by Glen Weldon
- Player Piano by Kurt Vonnegut
Books I just finished…
- Technofeudalism: What Killed Capitalism by Yanis Varoufakis
- Make Something Wonderful by Steve Jobs
- Innovating for People by LUMA Institute
- Small Things Live These by Claire Keegan
- They Can’t Kill Us Until They Kill Us by Hanif Abdurraqib
- The Intelligence Trap: Why Smart People Make Dumb Mistakes by David Robson
My goal for 2014 was to read 50 books this year. I didn’t make it. I got to 47. Not too shabby, but I’ll shoot for 50 again in 2025. I’m already running behind.
I finally canceled my Medium account. I’ve been threatening to do this for over a year. After they changed their pricing/payment structure it wasn’t really worth it anymore. You can read my last Medium post on Medium. Part of the closure (and a big part of why this took forever) was that I wanted to move all my content over to this site. Of course, this took weeks longer than I anticipated. It is done, and the section below is some of that content. I don’t expect you to read them all but my favorites are The Dick Print & 36 All Nighters.
Random stuff I thought was worth capturing…

Phase 005 accomplished. Next time, I’m not going to put this off day after day and focus–I swear.
Other projects in motion…
Four years ago, I embarked on a mission to share one trick every day for the entire year. This effort was brutal and by the end, I was broken. So, yeah, let’s do that again in 2025. Why not? So far so good but the hard stuff is coming. Follow along on my Instagram.
