Despite what the Matrix tried to say, d\u00e9j\u00e0 vu is not a glitch. It does come from the French, and as Americans, we’ve wholeheartedly adopted the word. Oftentimes, it’s confused with coincidence but they are not the same. I recently watched a comedy special on Netflix and the opening music was a track from They Might Be Giants, “Birdhouse in Your Soul”<\/a> which I had coincidentally just listened to a few days prior after years of not listening to that recording. Why should you care that I listen to nerdy old music from the early 90s? You shouldn’t. If you watch the music video and feel like you are reliving elements of a recent googley-eyed, fruit company product announcement, that might be d\u00e9j\u00e0 vu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
