Moo Juice

Moo Juice, from Chicago, IL, does a little bit of everything. It has comics, interviews, recipes, random stories, music reviews, and zine reviews. I love the production quality of #11. It has a 2-color toner cover (red and black) on pink paper, stickers inside, and a two color toner centerfold (green and blue). Clean layout, and well built.

by Brian Ralph
Fireball #4 is all about skateboarding, and a little bit about have to work as a security guard. This comic zine has some of the best artwork you will see in this format. Some visual links to Mel Bend, but I only say that to give you a refenece point. The mostly wordless stories and action are vintage Brian Ralph.

Temple of Sting lists two goals. 1. To erradicate Sting. 2. To enhance and perpetuate the way of the bees. This is kind of like a personal zine, but it’s well produced and typed. There are zine reviews, and music reviews.

Media Local Zine

by John Freeborn & Brett Bair
John and Brett’s first zine effort. This skateboard zine has all the hallmarks of the late 80s zine. Sketchy production, random drawings, and of course a collage. Issue #1 has two tour articles (Powell Peralta and Alva), an article about the Landsdowne, Maryland skatepark, and lots of photos.
